Between 2015 and 2017 - at the end of ski season and college semesters - my two best friends and I took road trips to the west coast. These trips became some of my favorite memories. All the trips started off the same way: piling all of our things into either Erik's or my SUV and leaving later than we planned. Followed by a traditional stop in the Growler Guys in Spokane on our way - where somehow they recognized us every year despite seeing us once a year. This was the second year, in which we went to Seattle and the Olympic Peninsula.
Before the road trip, our friend Ian contacted Erik, Izaak and I to ask about our fall plans. He decided to meet up with us for a week on his way back from working at Outward Bound in Alaska.
I had just arrived back from Europe a few weeks prior and begun to dive into photoshoots again, Erik and Izaak were a few weeks out from heading back into a college semester. The day we left, we piled our things into my car and headed from Missoula to Seattle. We booked an AirBNB about 4 hours into the road trip and picked up Ian from the Seattle airport. We spent two days in Seattle, shopping and exploring.
After a few days in Seattle, we left on our camping adventure. We boarded a ferry and stood up top watching the views as we made our way to the Olympic Peninsula.
We arrived to a camp spot in the dark and woke up surrounded by a lush forest.
The next day, we drove and found a beach to play on.
Then we hiked to some waterfalls. Scrambling over mossy rocks, we found a pool to swim in.
On our last day of camping, we drove to a gorgeous lake, swam and made duck friends. Then sat on the beach all evening.
